Veteran Australian opener David Warner has announced his retirement from international cricket, bringing an end to a glittering 12-year career.

Warner is one of the most successful batsmen of his generation, having amassed over 17,000 runs in Test cricket and over 11,000 runs in ODIs. He was also a part of Australia's World Cup winning teams in 2015 and 2019. Warner is expected to continue playing in domestic cricket leagues around the world.
